The good thing was that Nate's company hired some people to pack us up and move us. So we really just sat and watched. (Actually the preparation was crazy in trying to organize the piles as to what to take what to store when to receive it or do we really need it.)
Morgan loved finding new places to hide :)
But it was hard to say goodbye to a place with so many memories. Morgan took her first steps here in this house. (come to think of it all her firsts were at this house!) But we did get in one more nap in her room before we left.
The plane ride went well. The shock of not sleeping the whole night and smells of a different country took it's toll on me and I ended up deciding to mark my territory by throwing up on the side of the road behind the car. What a great first impression I made in Korea. (don't worry no one was harmed in this ritual of marking except Nate's shoe...great aim.)
It's been interesting getting used to a new culture and not being able to understand what people are saying to you. Morgan has everyone under her control which helps me fit in :)
Everyone looks at her and some have grabbed her (of course scaring the heck out of me!!!) She eats it all up but still doesnt' like the invading of her space.) Morgan and I were actually in our first photo shoot on the side walk some girls wanted us to pose with them while Nate was in the store...funny they didn
't ask for my autograph though...)We are staying in a 2 bedroom hotel in downtown Seoul. A little far from the base and Nate's work but it's nice. There's a pool with a slide for Morgan which she loves and of course housekeeping!
It is also quite far from church and we have to take a subway to get there. (something we aren't used to but Morgan enjoys riding the train...at least for the first 3 stops out of 11 when she starts to say she's done.)
We've gone to a palace. (not your typical palace! But definitly has free air conditioning!!!) A lot of protests or demonstrations go on. Luckily we've never seen them just the police getting ready for them.Near the palace they have a museum which have different performers every Saturday. and since we happened to be there on a Saturday...we got to see a drum group that were really loud Morgan says. Also they had a Chinese calandar of statues of the animals for the year you were born so of course we got pictures of all of us next to ours. and even the baby. Morgan loved her statue! And

Today Morgan and I took our first taxi ride to the base by ourselves to go to story time at the library. Everything went well...even if the first taxi driver couln't take us on to the base. He seemed to know what gate to let us off at that was the closest to the library which I've been to before. So I think things are getting a lot better in regards to living here.
We will try and keep more updated for all of you on the things going on over here. But we love you all and miss you.

Wow, what a fun adventure for your family. I wish that we could have gotten together before you left! I love hearing your stories and looking at pictures. Did you know that Karly (Burrows) and her husband and little girl are living in Seoul too?
